This guided tour shows you the typical Kyoto culture and touches you the tradition of Japan.

You can enjoy fantastic cherry blossom viewing or greenery of cherry trees on Jikkokubune boat ride along the Lake Biwa Canal.
If you have the experience of our guided tour, you can figure out Nanzenji is the representative Zen temple in Japan. Next, you will be surprised at 1,001 Kannon statues in Sanjusangen-do. Finally you can get the most impressive scenery you’ve never seen at the Senbon torii tunnels in Fushimi Inari Taisha. Approximately 5,000 red torii shrine gates line the mountainside approaching to it’s shrines.

* Please sign up at least two people, or more.

Route
  • Duration: Approx. 4 hours, which includes the boat ride and walking
  • Jikkokubune boat ride → Nanzenji → [taking Subway and Keihan railway] → Sanjusangen-do → [taking Keihan railway] → Fushimi Inari Taisha [breaking up around 5pm]
Departure
  • Point: Jikkokubune boat pier [>map]
  • Time: 13:00
    (Please arrive at the boat pier no later than 15 minutes before departure time.)
Fares
  • English speaking guide tour:
    Adult[12 year-old, or elder] 6,800 JPY
    Child[6-11] 6,200 JPY
  • The fare includes the following: Jikkokubune boat ride and the admission fee of Sanjusangen-do.
  • Web reservation handling fee: 108 JPY per a ticket
Notes
  • Each group requires at least two people.
  • Our guide will meet you when the boat returns to the boat pier. The tour ends in Fushimi Inari Taisha.

[Nanzen-ji]
Nanzen-ji was founded by Emperor in 1264 and ranked as the highest Zen temple in Japan. The layout is representative style of Zen temples with the great san-mon gate. You can enjoy the atmosphere as typical Zen temple in Kyoto.

 

 



[Sanjusangen-do]
You can see the original appearance of Sanjusangen-do that was built about 750 years ago and 1,001 life-size standing Kannon statues with gold.
It is truly breathtaking sight. This is the only temple in Japan where you can see more than 1,000 Kannon statues in one hall. They have different faces,11 faces on their heads and 1,000 arms. They are amazing and Sanjusangen-do will be unforgettable special memory for you.



[Fushimi-Inari-taisha]
Fushimi-Inari-taisha is the head shrine of the approximately 40,000 Inari-jinja through Japan and the most popular place in Japan for foreigners for four consecutive years. At first, stone foxes which are the sacred messengers of the god of this shrine welcome you. Then, you can get the most impressive scenery you’ve never seen at the vermilion thousand tori gate tunnels. Approximately 5,000 torii gates line the mountainside approaching to it’s shrines. After you go through the gates, you may get your wishes.
